We’re excited to announce that Joe Tomasek has been named Hockey Director, and Jeremy Zabrinas has been promoted to Assistant Hockey Director!
Huskies families already know the impact Joe and Jeremy have had through their previous roles—leading with integrity, clear communication, and a family-first mindset. In their new positions, they’ll be focused on advancing our club’s development model, strengthening connections across age groups, and building a culture that every Huskies family can be proud to be part of.
Joe Tomasek, Hockey Director
Joe Tomasek joined us in 2024 as our Director of Early Development, where he coached the Lil Huskies and led our Mite 2 team.
As a player, Joe started his hockey career playing for the Flames. He progressed to play at both the CSDHL and AAA level. He ended up playing for 4 years at Illinois State University. After his playing career, he began coaching at the Admirals and continued to coach there for 6 years. After the Admirals merged to become the Flames, he served as their Early Development Director and Squirt NIHL 1 coach for 2 years. Joe is also an elementary physical education teacher in Lemont.
Jeremy Zabrinas, Assistant Hockey Director
Jeremy Zabrinas has been a coach at multiple levels for the huskies, with last season as the head coach for our Peewee AA team.
Jeremy been a constant presence for our Huskies community, coaching for the Huskies the last 9 seasons. Jeremy’s focus on building strong relationships with players has fostered an environment of confidence, effort, and accountability. Having coaching experience across Squirt, Peewee, and Bantam levels, Jeremy offers invaluable insight into age-appropriate development and a clear vision for nurturing a united and supportive club environment.
