About Us
The Huskies Hockey Club has been a premier youth hockey organization in Illinois since 1969. Since we began, the Huskies have been committed to growing and developing youth hockey in the western suburbs. Our philosophy has been to offer a progression of youth programs that satisfies every level of hockey skill and interest.
The Huskies organization has up to 200 families living in the surrounding areas. They can spend 4-8 hours a week at Canlan Ice Sports facility, often bringing extended family and friends along. Additionally, teams from surrounding areas and states frequent the facility on a regular basis.
Canlan Ice Sports is a 106,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility with three NHL-sized rinks, a training center, a concession stand, and a full-service pro shop. It is located in Romeoville, on Normantown Rd., a mile west of the I-55 Weber Rd. exit. It is estimated that over 140,000 cars drive past on I-55 daily.
Canlan Ice Sports hosts upwards to 10 3-day tournaments yearly, including league and state championships, high school hockey, hockey camps, and public skating. An array of house programs is offered. They include the Youth Hockey League (YHL), Adult Safe Hockey League (ASHL), learn-to-skate programs, and figure skating.
The Huskies Hockey Club is registered with the IRS as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization.
