Our travel hockey teams compete in various leagues around the Chicago area, such as the Chicago United Hockey League (CUHL), Northern Illinois Hockey League (NIHL), and the Central States Developmental Hockey League (CSDHL). The season schedule may vary slightly each year, but tryouts are typically held in late August, with teams announced before Labor Day weekend. The number of teams we have depends on the number of players who try out and are ready to compete in travel hockey each year. The season runs from September to early March and usually includes a few tournaments. At the start of the season, the coach determines the location and number of tournaments.
The Huskies organization is dedicated to providing a great hockey experience for all its members. We focus on each player's development by improving skills, skating, and hockey IQ through well-run and organized practices that include a variety of drills and small-area games. League games and tournaments give players the opportunity to put everything they have learned into action against similarly skilled teams around Chicago.
All travel teams at the Huskies include
