Cammi Granato
Cammi is from Downers Grove, and was one of the first women to be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in November 2010. She currently works as an assistant general manager for the Vancouver Canucks organization. As captain, Cammi led the U.S. women's hockey team to a gold medal in the 1998 Winter Olympics. She is the younger sister of former NHL player Tony Granato and former Buffalo Sabres head coach Don Granato, and a graduate of Providence College. Watch a conversation with Cammi and Coach Lopatka about her time with the Huskies.
Tony Granato
Tony was drafted out of Downers Grove North High School by the New York Rangers in the 6th round. Before starting his professional career, Tony played at the University of Wisconsin. As a pro, Tony played in the NHL for 13 years for the Rangers, Kings, and Sharks before becoming an NHL coach as well as the head coach for the Wisconsin where he was a two time Big Ten Coach of the year.
Don Granato
Don is a professional hockey coach who was most recently with the Buffalo Sabres. During the 2023-24 season, Don was kind enough to meet with a Huskies team that was in Buffalo for a tournament and reminisce about his time as a Huskies player. Don played his college hockey at Wisconsin and played professionally for two years before getting into coaching.
Brett Hull
Brett was known as one of the most prolific goal scorers in NHL history. He played for the Calgary Flames, St. Louis Blues, Dallas Stars, Detroit Red Wings, and Phoenix Coyotes between 1986 and 2005. His career total of 741 goals is fifth highest in NHL history, and he is one of five players to score 50 goals in 50 games. When his father, Bobby, played with the Chicago Blackhawks, Brett started his hockey career with the Huskies in 1971. Watch his former teammate, Tony Granato, remember what it was like to play with Brett as a mite.

Huskies In AAA
Our goal as an organization is to create an environment where players can grow, develop, and achieve their dreams. We are proud of the former Huskies hockey players who have been chosen to play at tier 1 (AAA) hockey programs in the Chicago area for the 2024-25 season. The following players have been part of our program and now play for one of Chicagoland's AAA clubs or elsewhere.
